Troubleshooting/Common Issues
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Where do I find the settings to add a new printer?
1.1 All currently used printers are listed under the "Printer Settings” in the settings. Here we can also add a new printer.
Step 2: How do I add a new printer?
2.1 Press the "Add printer" button in the settings
2.2 Select printer name and connection type
The printer name can be freely chosen to better identify the printer
The connection type is the way the printer is connected to the POS:
- USB-cable is a direct USB cable to the POS
- Local network means rhe printer is connected to the local network (per cable or Wifi)
- Internet (Cloud) means the printer is connected to the internet at all. It does not need to be connected to the local network. If a Cloud connection is used, the POS required the Serial number of the printer to connect. This number can be found at the back of the printer.
Currently, we are limited to connecting one printer per local network or USB. Additional printers need to be connected per Cloud.
Step 3: Connecting a printer via Cloud
3.1 Make sure the printer has access to the internet.
3.2 Select "Cloud(Internet)" as connection type.
3.3 A new field asking for the printer serial number will appear. The serial number can be found at the back of the printer.
3.4 After entering the printer serial number, press "connect" to add the printer
